In Canada, there are almost 20,000 members, volunteers who strive to improve, to participate in, to influence and to contribute to the healthy development of young people.
Canadian Optimists are dynamic, motivated and know how to put their individual skills to good use in response to the needs of their communities.
They are creative people who are always looking for new ways to help their fellow man. Having access to many tools and training sessions, they also benefit from numerous occasions for personal growth. The trouble is however, most of them seem to suffer from extraordinary personal fulfillment and consequently act as beacons of light within their respective environments.
"In conjunction with the public and private sectors, Canada's voluntary sector is an important third pillar of Canadian society and a major contributor to our nation's world renowned ability to build quality communities"
